“Dig a Hole…A Nest” Group Exhibition at the Ace Hotel
December 2025- January 2026
Project description:
These works take the form of altars—odes to the intimacy and kinship cultivated with three plants during the past farm season: Rue, Chamomile, and Mugwort. While in full bloom, each plant was prepared as a flower essence, its energetic imprint held in water, allowing the relationship to persist in another form.
Each altar offers a space for reverence and quiet connection through three temporal states of the plant: the essence (its memory), the seeds (its future), and the plant in decay (its present). Viewers are invited to engage with the essences and to create their own moment of communion with each plant.
